Visualizing the Science of Food and Growing

Thursday, April 12th, Join us at CDI for hands-on science learning in two sessions of interactive workshops, experiments, and mini-performances to make food science visible. While both sessions are open to all, sessions from 4-6:00pm target kids, teachers & families, 6-8:00 pm sessions target university students, faculty and the community at large. Throughout, participants experience creative food science experiments with faculty, staff, and students of Center for Design Innovation, WSSU, UNCSA as well as public experts in science, art & communication.

Founded in 2010, the NC Science Festival is the first statewide science festival in the US. During a two-week celebration each spring, the Festival brings hundreds of events (hosted by schools, colleges, libraries, museums, parks, businesses and other community organizations) together under one banner to recognize the economic, educational and cultural impact of science throughout NC.
