Responsible for the design, procurement, deployment and administration of systems enabling research in order to create new knowledge and to foster the creative economy in the piedmont region of North Carolina.

CDI supports inter-institutional collaboration, community enrichment and life long learning and a wide range of initiatives to support our educational institutions and community. The center also acts as a platform for innovation in the visual and performing arts. The Systems Architect manages servers, networking equipment, data storage systems, infrastructure and software deployments to enable a wide range of technical and creative projects including virtual film production and visual effects, motion capture for film and industry, 3d modeling and laser imaging and scientific data visualization among others. The Systems Architect administers the web infrastructure and provides application development using a wide range of tool sets in a multi-platform environment.
