Owens Daniels

Owens O. Daniels visual artist/photographer/educator and the face behind ODP Art & Design based in Winston Salem, NC. He specializes in bold, innovative and creative portraiture, documentary and contemporary artworks that build bridges, promote cultural exchanges, and artistic endeavors between organizations, institutions and the diverse communities they serve.
His photographic career started at the U.S Army Photographic School of Cartography, learning the basics of photography and photo printing, in addition to formal training, he worked for several years as a freelance photographer. From these and various other experiences, he extended his photographic career by fine tuning the art of visual storytelling and developed his craft into a distinctive and decisive style that continues to open doors such as becoming lead artist for the Z Smith Reynolds Presence Absence Project of Winston Salem. He also upholds an artist residency and photography instructor position at Sawtooth School of Visual Arts. He continues to be awarded public art installations, grants, awards, exhibitions and commissions in photography and visual art.
